HEROCK® is delighted to share some thrilling updates from the recent qualifying rounds, especially as we celebrate our new sponsor deal with Yes Sir Racing! Our partnership with Yes Sir Racing has already proven to be fruitful, with our sponsored team showcasing exceptional performance on the track.
In the qualifying rounds, Yes Sir Racing's white Mini dominated the competition by securing pole position twice in Class 4, displaying remarkable skill and determination. Meanwhile, their blue Mini achieved a commendable P6 position, further solidifying their competitive edge.
For context, there are a total of 6 classes based on car type, engine, and driver skills. Class 4 stands as the third-highest class, while Class 6 holds the top spot.
Despite facing challenging weather conditions during Race 1 (30 mins), the team exhibited resilience and adaptability. Although they encountered a setback by starting on slick tires instead of rain tires, they quickly rebounded in Race 2 (30 mins). The white Mini was on track for a podium finish until a time penalty pushed them from P3 to P6.
Throughout these trials, Yes Sir Racing's spirits remained high, bolstered by HEROCK®'s steadfast support as a proud sponsor. We are honored to stand by their side and witness their unwavering dedication to the sport.
Navigating the intricate Mettet circuit, known for its short length (2.7km) and narrow layout reminiscent of a motorcycle circuit, posed its own set of challenges.
Looking ahead, our sights are set on the next exhilarating race at Spa-Francorchamps on May 3-5. Renowned for its high-speed nature and significant tire wear, we are confident that Yes Sir Racing will continue to shine with our support. They aim to secure top 5 positions in their class with both cars and break into the top 15 overall among the 49 registered cars.
